Grand Island, NE — July 31, 2008 — The Hall County Treasurer has announced that residents can now make tax and motor vehicle renewal payments online, in addition to at the agency office. For added convenience, residents may use an American Express®, Discover®, MasterCard® or VISA® credit card or debit card to make a payment. The County has contracted with Point & Pay, a third party vendor, to operate as an extension of their customer support and payment processing services.
“Due to the numerous requests from the taxpayers, our office has implemented this technology for their benefit and convenience. And with the taxpayers work schedules, this option gives them the opportunity to transact their business from home as well as accommodate out of state property owners,” says Doris Mason, Hall County Treasurer.
Residents can make an online payment through the internet by going to the county’s website at http://www.hallcountyne.gov and clicking on the appropriate payment link at the top of the page. Information requested will include credit or debit card details and the amount of the tax or motor vehicle renewal payment that is to be paid. A nominal fee is calculated and charged for this convenient service.
Since 1999, Point & Pay has offered taxpayers the ease of fulfilling payment obligations in real-time, conveniently and securely from anywhere with Internet or phone access.
