Grays Harbor County District Court Changes Its Credit Card Vendor and Lowers Fees

Montesano, WA— August 4, 2008 — Grays Harbor County District Court has changed its credit and debit card service vendor to Point & Pay, a company with 10 years experience in allowing payment of government obligations by credit and debit cards. Mallin Shelton, District Court Administrator says that Point & Pay’s fee schedule on accounts under $250.00 will provide substantial savings to its users and increase convenience of use compared to the court’s previous credit card service vendor.

Residents can take care of District Court fines and penalties through the internet by going to the Court’s website at http://www.co.grays-harbor.wa.us/, clicking first on County Departments, then District Court, and then Pay by Credit Card. Information requested will include a case number, credit/debit card information, and the amount that is to be paid. A fee is calculated and charged for this convenient service, on a sliding scale based on the amount of the payment.

Since 1999, Point & Pay has offered taxpayers the ease of fulfilling payment obligations in real-time, conveniently and securely from anywhere with Internet or phone access.

“Credit card and debit card payments continue to rise in popularity, reflecting the trend of using electronic payment methods instead of traditional, paper-based options,” said Joshua Rush, Director of Marketing for Point & Pay. “We are excited to offer this convenient payment option to Grays Harbor County.”
