ACMUA Announces a New, Convenient Way for Atlantic City Customers to Pay Water Utilities

Atlantic City, NJ — December 29, 2008 — The Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority has announced that Water Utility customers can now use an American Express®, Discover®, MasterCard®, VISA® credit/debit card or electronic check to make water payments by phone, online, or at the agency office. ACMUA has contracted with Point & Pay, a third party vendor, to operate as an extension of their customer support and payment processing services.

“One of our goals is to offer as many convenient payment methods as possible,” said Neil Goldfine, Executive Director of the Atlantic City MUA.

The new service gives customers a flexible, secure method of making payments conveniently and on time. Depending upon individual card benefits, cardholders can even earn rewards such as airline miles or other bonuses when paying their water bill with a credit card.

Customers can make an online payment by going to the ACMUA website at www.acmua.org, click on “Save a Stamp! Pay Your Bill Online” on the left panel of the home page. Information requested will include your account number, credit/debit card or checking account information, and the amount that is to be paid. A nominal fee is calculated and charged for this convenient service.

In addition, customers can call toll free 866-923-8243 and by following the prompts make a payment by phone.

Since 1999, Point & Pay has offered citizens the ease of fulfilling payment obligations in real-time, conveniently and securely from anywhere with Internet or phone access.
